Denji Ajadina aka Crab Sukka

Serves: 4-5

You’ll need:

      •  550 gms cleaned crab ( please crack the shells as it’s easier to eat)
      • 1 tsp turmeric
      • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste, freshly pound
      • 3 tsp tamarind paste
      • 100 gms coconut, freshly grated
      • 3/4 tbsp salt
      • 4 tbsp njh Mothership’s Meat/ Seafood/ Veg Spice Mix
      • 1 tbsp njh Hot Travelling Chillies (optional)

 For the seasoning:

      • 3 tbsp coconut oil
      • 4 sprigs of curry leaves
      • 1 tsp mustard leaves.
      • 1/2 onion, diced


      • Mix up the njh spice mixes, turmeric, tamarind and salt with some water. Marinate the crabs for 4 hours.
      • Take a wok and add coconut oil when heated. Add mustard seeds. Once they crackle, add the onion and curry leaves. Add the crab and water to cook the crab. Once cooked, add the coconut and mix well. Cook for 5 minutes. Enjoy!
