Bootai aka Sardine Fry (Mangalorean Style)


Serves: 4-5

You’ll need:

      • 320 gms sardines, cleaned
      • 2 tbsp njh Mothership’s Fish Spice Mix
      • 1 tbsp njh Hot Travelling Chillies
      • 1 1/2 tbsp tamarind paste
      • 1 1/2 tsp salt 
      • 1/2 tsp turmeric
      • 2 tbsp water
      • Coconut Oil to pan fry

Method:

      • Mix all the ingredients together except coconut oil. Rub marinade into the  fish lovingly.
      • Marinade as long as you can. And if you can’t, that’s fine too.
      • Heat up the cast iron pan. Add the fish. Fry. And gently turn it around. Fry again.
      • Enjoy.
