Peanut Chutney with njh Hot Travelling Chillies


Serves: 5-6

You'll need:

For the chutney:

      • 100 gms roasted peanuts peeled
      • 3 Byadgi chillies roasted
      • 1 tbsp njh Hot Travelling Chillies (you can reduce this depending on the amount of spice you want)
      • 2 inches Tamarind
      • 6-7 garlic pods, peeled 
      • Salt to taste
      • Water to grind to a consistency you like

For the seasoning:

      • 1 1/2 tbsp oil
      • 1 tsp mustard seeds
      • 2 Byadgi chillies
      • 1 sprig curry leaves

Method:

      • Grind all the ingredients mentioned in the chutney section to a paste. Not too fine, but a chutney like consistency.
      • Heat a wok. Add the oil and then the mustard seeds. Once the mustard seeds splutter, add the chillies and curry leaves. Pour over the ground chutney.
